The Story Behind This Piece
This jug was created during a quiet morning in the studio, when the light was soft and the world felt still. The blue glaze was developed over many months of experimentation, seeking that perfect balance between depth and translucency that evokes the feeling of looking into calm water.
Each piece in this series is wheel-thrown by hand, then carefully glazed and fired in a small gas kiln. The firing process takes nearly 12 hours, and during this time the magic happens—the glaze transforms, flows, and settles into its final form. No two pieces are exactly alike, and that's part of their charm.
